OneMeter installation is so easy that anyone can do it. You just need to place it on the optical port of your meter. The beacon is fastened to the meter by a magnet so you can easily remove it. OneMeter beacon doesn’t interfere the meter (confirmed by certificate) so there’s no reason why the DSO would prevent you from using our device. On the other hand, you have the right to read your meter in the same way they do.
OneMeter works with energy meters that have an optical port compliant with IEC 62056-21 / IEC 1107 standards. Our beacons have been tested with the majority of energy meter models produced by common manufacturers such as Apator/PAFAL, Elgama, Elster, Landis+Gyr. OneMeter uses communication working in the 2,4 GHz range. All exchanged data is encrypted by unique keys with the use of the AES-128 protocol.
The OneMeter beacon is powered by CR2032 3V battery. This is a common battery found in any kiosk or RTV shop, and you can replace it on your own. The limited version works from 8 to 12 months on one battery (depending on the meter model). The pre-order version provides a full year of battery life.
The beacon won’t work without a battery. After replacing a used battery with a new one, the beacon will continue to work and the data collected previously in its memory won’t be lost.
After connecting the beacon to your meter, run our mobile app. Tap ADD BEACON and simply follow the instructions provided. The whole process should take no longer than a minute!
The Cloud App is a web application that provides you with quick access to all data from your meters. You can find all detailed readouts there and also download reports. Cloud App is available at: cloud.onemeter.com.
